Ozone is extremely effective at reducing the amount of bacteria and viruses present in water and air. Massive bacterial colony reduction is effected almost instantaneously and hence ozone has been of considerable interest in bacterial, viral and fungii reduction and control.

How is it used in our clinic?

All the water used in the surgery is ozonated - so each rinse you take is charged with extra oxygen molecules and so has increased anti viral and bacterial properties. 

Fillings

Ozone Therapy is applied to the site after preparation to kill any residual bacteria and achieve a high level of sterilization prior to placement of the filling.

Extraction

After extraction, the site is thoroughly cleansed to assist in complete healing and help prevent the development of jaw bone cavitation.

Periodontal

The site is scaled and cleaned and treated with Ozone therapy to physically sterilize the mouth and remove the presence of bacterial plaque.

Root Canal

To more effectively sterilize and begin the process of healing the root canal site.
