Safe Amalgam Removal

Whether your motivation for replacement is for improvement of your health or cosmetic reasons, it is highly recommended that you follow a protocol for the safe removal of your amalgam fillings.

There has been much debate about the safety of amalgam fillings, and there is now much scientific information about mercury, dental amalgam and the associated risks.

In essence, dental amalgams contain mercury, a known poison, which can leak out of the teeth and be absorbed into the body and if not eliminated, can accumulate and become toxic to the body.

In addition to this, amalgam fillings have an electrical current which can interfere with the harmonious flow of energy in the body, measurable through the acupuncture meridian system.

Pre-Amalgam Removal

Clinical Assessment

At your first dental consultation, you will fill out a questionnaire outlining your  dental and medical history.

A full X-Ray (an OPG) may also be required to identify any hidden problems and    to check the health of the roots of the teeth and the jaw bone.

Energetic Assessment

As well as Kinesiology Muscle testing to assess and balance the body to stresses related to amalgam fillings, we also use the Avatar  Electrodermal Bio-Feedback Testing System.

From this we can customise a  nutritional and supplement support program for you before, during and after amalgam replacement, to make the procedure as safe and gentle as possible on the body. 

We do this because while removing the amalgam fillings from the teeth does remove one of the greatest source of mercury accumulation in the body,  it does not remove the mercury which is stored in the tissues of the body or the damage already sustained.

Therefore it is necessary to support the body before, during and after the amalgam removal procedure to assist the body to cope with the burden of mercury coming from the fillings and with the elimination and detoxification of mercury from the body.

Biocompatibility Testing

To identify the most suitable and compatible replacement material(s) in your mouth we use both the Avatar Electrodermal Bio-Feedback Testing System and Kinesiology Muscle testing.

This testing is also available to determine the most compatible anesthetic and other dental materials used in restorative, crown and bridge, dentures, implants etc.

Amalgam Removal

Each amalgam filling has a measurable electrical current that can adversely affect your health and energy, therefore at each visit for amalgam removal, the currents are measured with a micrometer and the amalgams with the highest negative currents are removed first.

Safety measures used during amalgam removal:

Rubber Dam - this is a rubber sheet that isolates the teeth to be operated on  to prevent particles of amalgam being swallowed or inhaled.

Oxygen -  a nose piece is worn allowing you to breathe pure oxygen rather than inhaling air contaminated with  mercury vapor.

Vapor Extraction - our surgery has been outfitted with a specially designed air filtration system that will extract the mercury vapor as it is being removed from the mouth, preventing the toxic vapors escaping into the air around you during the replacement procedure.

Ozone Therapy - After the removal process, and before replacement begins, weuse Ozone therapy to kill any bacteria at the site and the surrounding areas. The anti-bacterial and healing effects of the Oxygen molecule have been clinically proven and by adding this to the dental procedure, we ensure the best possible results for you and the restoration of a clean and healthy mouth.

Vibrational Remedy

After the removal of the Amalgam, we take a piece of the material and create a vibrational remedy (similar to a Homeopathic) to aid in the removal of the toxic burden to the body.

The Amalgam has a signature or signal that can be likened to an energetic waveform or vibration within the body, by inverting this energetic waveform, (turning the signal 180 degrees back onto itself) we create a new signature that cancels out the original.

When you take this remedy you effectively negate the toxic signal of the mercury, and so are further assisting the body in the detoxification process.
